Heat treatment

Material and function-specific heat treatment processes are used to adjust or improve the mechanical properties of precision forged components.

  • The optimum preconditions for further processing (machining properties) of the precision forged parts are created using integrated heat treatment in the forging process – and may include specific annealing processes.
  • The functional properties of fully-finished components are guaranteed by material-specific hardening processes (case-hardening, carbonisation, nitration-hardening, quenching and tempering etc.).
